Licence terms

Last updated 18 September 2026

Short version: what we make for you is yours — the theme file, the site, the dashboard, the app designs. The one thing you can't do is resell a theme as a file or use it to build stores for other people.

01You own what we make

A theme is a file you download and install on your own Shopify, under your own account. Your store, your products, your customers and your data are yours. If you stopped working with us tomorrow, everything keeps running exactly as it is.

There's no monthly fee to us on anything we build, and no switch we can flip to turn your own work off. The licence code ties a theme to one shop; it does not give us a way to stop it.

02Custom work: sites, dashboards and app designs

A custom website, a dashboard or a set of app screens is yours outright once it is paid for: the code, the design files, the content and the data. You can host it where you like, hand it to another developer, and change any of it without asking us.

Two ordinary exceptions. Anything we licence from someone else — a font, a stock photo, a paid library — comes with that owner's terms, and we name it before it goes in. And a monthly tool stays a service, not a file you own; see below.

We may show the work in our portfolio. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't, and we won't.

03One licence, one store

The package you pay for covers one store. If you have a second brand and want the same theme on it, that's a second build at its own price.

04Change whatever you like

After handover you can edit the code, the colours, the sections — or hire another developer. None of that breaks these terms.

One caveat: once someone else edits the code, our free bug fixes cover what we built, not what they changed.

05The one restriction: no reselling

You may not sell, distribute or hand the theme itself to anyone else as a file, and you may not use it to build stores for other people as a service.

That's the line between being a customer and reselling our work. Everything else is fair game.

06Photos and fonts

The photos in our demos are for illustration and don't come with your store. Your store is built with your own images, or with commercially-licensed ones we'll name the source of.

If you send us images, you're confirming you have the right to use them.

07The tools are monthly, and you can stop

A tool — the WhatsApp order confirmation, and the ones that follow it — is a monthly service, not a file you own. You pay for a month, you get that month. Stop whenever you like and it stops at the end of the month you have paid for. There is no contract, no notice period, and nothing to cancel by phone.

Prices can change, but never in the middle of a month you have already paid for, and never without telling you first.

08Messaging your own customers is your responsibility

When you use the WhatsApp tool, the messages go out about your orders to your customers, and you are the one they are from. So you are responsible for having a reason to contact them — an order they placed — and for honouring anyone who asks you to stop.

The tool sends order messages only: it asks whether an order is real and answers when someone asks where it is. Do not try to use it for advertising.WhatsApp treats promotional messages differently, and a wave of complaints does not just stop the offending message — it throttles your whole WhatsApp number, including the order confirmations you rely on. We will switch the tool off for an account being used this way, and say why.

09What we can't promise

The tool depends on things we do not own: WhatsApp, your Shopify store, and your courier. When one of those is down or changes its rules, messages can be late or not arrive. We fix what is ours quickly and tell you when it isn't.

A customer confirming an order is not a guarantee they will take it, and we cannot be held to the value of a sale that falls through, a parcel a courier loses, or a message WhatsApp declines to deliver. What we owe you, at most, is the month you paid us.

10Ending it

You can stop any time, and we will delete your customers' order records — see the privacy policy for how and how quickly.

We can stop too, and would only do it for the reasons in clause 07 or non-payment. If we do, you get the rest of the month back and your data out. Themes you have already bought are yours regardless: clauses 01 to 05 do not expire.
